Refund policy
Returns and Refunds Policy
Effective October 5, 2026
Which pieces can be returned, how to return them, and how pieces that arrive defective, damaged or incorrect are put right.
Pieces you can return
Ready-made earrings, pendants, necklaces, bracelets and chains in their standard form may be returned for a change of mind if they are unworn, unaltered and in their original condition. Each product page states whether the piece can be returned before you buy.
Return window
To return an eligible piece, start a request at fineandfacets.com/returns/request (or email clientcare@fineandfacets.com with your order number) to receive a return authorization and insured shipping instructions, and hand the piece to the carrier within 7 calendar days of delivery. Please keep the carrier's acceptance receipt as proof of dispatch; creating a shipping label alone does not count. If a delay on our part in sending the authorization prevents you from shipping in time, we will extend the deadline accordingly.
Please do not send a piece back without an authorization, and do not send it to the address on the original package.
Condition of a return
Returned pieces must be unworn and unaltered, with all tags, original packaging, accessories and any grading report supplied with the order. You are welcome to examine a piece carefully to decide whether to keep it. Every return is inspected by a qualified jeweler; if we find wear, damage, alteration or missing components, we will explain what we found and how it affects the return before any decision is final.
Final-sale pieces
The following are final sale and cannot be returned for a change of mind:
- rings of every kind, including engagement rings and wedding bands, which are made to order in your size;
- rings designed in our ring builder;
- engraved pieces;
- personalized pieces, including family and birthstone jewelry;
- loose diamonds;
- custom commissions.
Defective, damaged or incorrect pieces
Every piece, including a final-sale piece, is covered if it arrives defective, damaged or different from your order. Contact clientcare@fineandfacets.com within 14 days of delivery with your order number, a description and photographs if possible. After assessing it, we will replace the piece or refund it in full, with no restocking fee, and we pay the return shipping. Problems that appear later are covered by our Limited Warranty.
Restocking fee and return shipping
A restocking fee of 15% of the returned piece's purchase price, after any discounts and excluding tax and shipping, is deducted from the refund for a change-of-mind return. For example, the fee on a piece bought for $1,000 is $150. The fee is confirmed in your return authorization before you ship.
For a change-of-mind return, return shipping is paid by the customer. We provide an insured prepaid label and deduct its cost from your refund; the amount is also stated in your return authorization. Please use only the label and packaging instructions we provide, as uninsured shipments cannot be accepted.
No restocking fee or shipping charge applies to a piece that arrived defective, damaged or incorrect.
Refunds
We aim to inspect a return and issue an approved refund within 5 business days of receiving it. Refunds are made to the original payment method; your bank or card provider may take a few more days to post the credit. Any optional expedited delivery charge on the original order is not refunded for a change-of-mind return.
Exchanges and cancellations
To exchange an eligible piece, contact us; we will confirm availability and any price difference before proceeding.
You may cancel a standard order at no charge until it ships. Personalized pieces, ring builder rings and custom commissions follow our Custom Orders Policy, because work on them begins as soon as the order is placed.
Your statutory rights
This policy is in addition to, and does not limit, any rights you have under applicable law.
